Doctor Of Jazz Pick of the WeekThis week I'm enjoying the new release by Havana Carbo, Phantoms of Love. Havana was born in Cuba & raised in the United States. As a singer/composer she performs with a quartet affectionately and unofficially known as "MELAO." Phantoms of love is truly a treat. Multilingual HAVANA glides from language to language without a hitch, as she tells each story. That while the band keeps the groove tight & breathes and speaks the same emotional language along with Havana.
